A Beautiful Wedding on Film at the Monrovia Historical Museum

Photographing this beautiful wedding at the Monrovia Historical Museum was an absolute dream.This hidden gem is located in the San Gabriel Valley. The venue has a classic Spanish-style look with pretty green gardens and a fountain. It was the perfect spot for a couple wanting a timeless, romantic wedding day.


The Magic of Shooting on Real Film


I captured this wedding using a blend of digital and real analog film. Film photography deals with the bright California sun beautifully. It creates a soft, glowing look that digital cameras cannot match.Film also adds a natural grain and texture to the photos. You can see this in the black-and-white photo of the couple walking down the aisle, and the artistic blurry photo of the bride moving her veil. Film photos feel alive, and they turn your wedding memories into timeless art.

Her bridesmaids wore rich, dark chocolate dresses and held cream-colored roses.My favorite part of the day was how relaxed everyone was. I do not like to use stiff or awkward poses. Instead, I captured real, unforced moments. You can see the pure joy as the bridesmaids laughed together, and the quiet connection between the couple during their first dance.
